We salvage logged over 800 acres of burnt timber following the Hope Fire in 2025.  We submitted alternate plans to harvest high value cedar logs adjacent to streams in order to fund complete reforestation efforts and maximize landowner returns.

We performed a commercial thin on around 300 acres of the historic Wauconda Ranch.  This harvest was designed to improve elk habitat, remove diseased and dying trees and reduce fire hazard.  By logging in the winter we minimized soil compaction and avoided impacting cattle grazing operations.

We assess plantations for several industrial landowners every year.  We are looking for seedling health and stocking as well as taking notes on planting quality and the effects of silvicultural treatments.

We put together a small low impact timber sale to remove diseased trees and improve wildlife habitat while significantly reducing fire hazard in a densely populated area.

Mike provided sawing and skidding services for a large road improvement project.  By skillfully cutting and bucking saw logs we were able to improve net scale and drastically reduce the overall project cost to the association.

We harvested 120 acres of mature western larch and Doglas-fir, targeting the extensive dwarf mistletoe infestation.  The resulting stand is mostly clear of disease and young trees are growing with vigor.  This landowner's children will appreciate the high quality larch timber that will be ready to harvest in their lifetime.
